A basic understanding of fire safety will help you know what to do if you are first on the scene of an accident, including how to assess the situation as a potential danger zone and how to assess the condition of a casualty.

THIS COURSE COVERS:

  • The importance of understanding how fires start and spread.
  • The actions that should be taken on discovering a fire or on hearing a fire alarm.
  • The use of Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) and the appointment of buddies.
The Fire Safety Course covers fire prevention in the workplace and the behaviour expected in the event of a fire at work.  Examples of workplace fire safety measures required to prevent common fires are explained. The importance of maintaining clear exit routes is also covered.
