COURSE TYPE
The Healthcare Provider Course is for medical, para-medical and allied healthcare professionals. The skills taught include
adult and paediatric CPR including two rescuer scenarios, use of bag valve mask and barrier devices, management of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO), and use of AED's.
The course takes a few hours to complete and course participants are evaluated by skills testing and a written evaluation. Multiple choice questions (MCQ)
Course completion cards are given upon successful completion of the course.
CERTIFICATION
Irish Heart Foundation/ American Heart Association BLS
for Healthcare Provider certificate card.
RECERTIFICATION
This course must be completed every 2 years to remain certified.
